Equipment, ltd. has been a supplier of grinding machines and related supplies to the woodworking tool sharpening industry for over 30 years. We have represented some of the most advanced and desirable equipment lines in the world. We introduced the legendary AKEMAT saw grinder line to the North American market in 1978 and we sold over 2,500 machines before the line was discontinued in 2010.
With the evolution and advancement in tool technologies, Equipment, ltd. searches the world looking for new, innovative machines to keep up with the demand for sharpening equipment to grind these new tools.

Meet Our Team
Jack Sigrist
Jack started Equipment, ltd in 1980 and worked hard to make Equipment, ltd one the most successful machinery suppliers in the industry. He was the driving force behind the success of the Akemat line. He now lives in Switzerland full time and spends a lot of time at his mountain home with his girlfriend Sandra either hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter. In 2015 Jack sold his interest in Equipment, ltd. to Rob Rzasa.
Rob Rzasa
Rob has been at Equipment, ltd. since 1994. Prior to that he worked at Jack Sigrist Canada for 10 years. Besides managerial duties, Rob handles machinery sales and is always on the lookout for new machines and products. Pete Adair
Pete has been in the saw industry for almost 40 years. He joined the Equipment, ltd team in 1994. When he’s not on the road servicing or installing machines, Pete handles most of our service calls and Akemat parts. In his spare time enjoys spending time with his three kids and four grandchildren. Roger Chester
Roger has been with Equipment, ltd. since January 1998. Prior to joining the team, Roger was service technician and worked on Akemat machines at DML’s Hickory plant. Roger is in charge of our Akemat rebuilding department. In his spare time Roger likes to work around his house and takes the occasional trip in his RV with his wife Jackie. Sandy Fleming
Sandy joined the Equipment, ltd team in June of 2016. She in in charge of all of our receivables and payables and is the first one to answer the phone when you call in. If you have any questions about your account or need to order anything she is the girl to call! In her spare time, Sandy likes to spend time with her husband Jack and her teenage son Marcus. Jordan Massagee
Jordan joined the Equipment, ltd. family in April 2013. Jordan presently handles all our shipping and receiving and he works with Roger rebuilding machines. Jordan handles our new NU5A spiral grinding machine and spent time this year at the factory learning the machines. In his spare time, Jordan is a part time police officer and when he’s not speeding around town in his patrol car, he is up to the axles in a mud hole on his RZR 4 wheeler. Shelby Lail
Shelby is the newbie to the Equipment, ltd. team. She will be helping out Sandy with day to day operations at Equipment, ltd. and will be working on our social media presence. She is also a student at Appalachian State University (Go APP State) where she is studying to be an elementary school teacher.
